Breaking the Spine created this feature – ‘Waiting on’ Wednesday, where bloggers could gush about their most coveted upcoming release. Here’s mine:
In a world where disease has been eliminated, the only way to die is to be randomly killed (“gleaned”) by professional reapers (“scythes”). Citra and Rowan are teenagers who have been selected to be scythe’s apprentices, and—despite wanting nothing to do with the vocation—they must learn the art of killing and come to understand the necessity of what they do.
Only one of them will be chosen as a scythe’s apprentice. And when it becomes clear that the winning apprentice’s first task will be to glean the loser, Citra and Rowan are pitted against one another in a fight for their lives.

Ummm…the blurb! I love the premise for this book, and I am so excited to see how things play out!
I read Unwind by Shusterman and was very impressed so I will keep this one in mind. Very dramatic cover.

You’ve been raving about wanting it forever, and I was happy a book was coming out you were so excited about. But I am ashamed to say that I never checked the blurb out until I saw it on someone else’s ‘Waiting on’ Wednesday. Now I can’t wait to read it!

Haha! Don’t worry, I won’t hold it against you. When we’re not on the same wavelength we’re on completely opposite ones. 🙂

I like this book’s cover! I’ve seen it around but didn’t really know much about it. The author seems familiar but I know I have not read anything by him. I hope you enjoy this book when you get a chance to read it!
Have a fabulous week. 🙂
Check out my WoW post!
