Top Ten Tuesday is brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish, and this week’s Top Ten Tuesday is relating to movies. There’s no way I can limit my favorite movies to ten, so it’s simply a list of ten movies I love and can watch over and over again. Keep in mind that I don’t watch much television anymore, so my list won’t be anything current. My list does, however contain three movies that are holiday themed, so the time for this is very fitting!

Legends of the Fall
Break my heart why don’t you. This movie is long. And quite frankly, boring the first time through. But damn if it didn’t suck me in by the end and make me want to watch it over and over again.

Beauty and the Beast
My list wouldn’t be complete without a Disney movie, and there are more I could have chosen. But I settled on Beauty & the Beast. I love the whole premise in seeing inside someone and finding attraction in character rather than looks. I also love the idea of someone bringing out the best in someone else. |

The Bridges of Madison County
I’ve never made it through this movie without sobbing, and I probably never will. I have only watched it a few times, but it is emotionally exhausting. While I love the story, the idea of watching it again is daunting. |

Facing the Giants
This is such a great movie about having a strong faith and keeping on when you feel like things couldn’t get any worse. This story revolves around being a good example for others, and I love it.

Face/Off
John Travolta and Nic Cage don’t get any better than this movie. The way they shifted their mannerisms was amazing, and I loved everything about this movie.

Con Air
Another Nic Cage movie with a remarkable cast. For as serious as this movie was, it was a fricken hoot. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve seen this one.

Can’t Buy Me Love
Before McDreamy, there was Ronald Miller. By the end of this movie, he was my most loved geek of the 80’s. I would have loved to watch the stars with him. ❤

The Holiday
I mean, talk about finding love when you truly least expect it. Everything about this movie is great. I love all the characters, except the one I love to hate. I watch this movie every holiday.

The Family Man
It’s possible I have a thing for Nicolas Cage. But I do love the idea of a do-over, even if it’s only for a season. The ending breaks my heart, because, Annie and Josh…but what a great story of how life could have been just as good (or maybe even better) down another path.

While You Were Sleeping
I won’t tell you how many times I saw this movie in the theater, because it’s embarrassing. *cough* seven *cough* This movie breaks my heart and puts it back together again every time I see it. I love Bill Pullman in this one, and he and Sandra Bullock together are perfection!

My blog is fairly new, so while it may not have been clear before, I think it is now. I am a HUGE fan of romance. Throw a bit of comedy in, and you have me.
What are some of your favorite movies of all time? Are there some recent Romantic Comedies (or others) I’m missing out on not having seen?

I love Legends of the Fall. I can’t get my husband to watch it with me so I haven’t seen it in years. (I don’t watch movies by myself. When I’m alone I usually turn the television off and enjoy the quiet.)

It is a movie that definitely stays with you. Every time I hear the song ‘Whiskey Lullaby’ by Brad Paisley and Allison Krauss, it makes me think of this movie for some reason.
Boo to the hubs on this one! LOL

LOL, right! He doesn’t do dramatic movies like this.

I’ve already watched it this year, too. I love the idea of going somewhere to try and escape the pressures of ‘real life,’ even if it’s temporarily! 🙂

The Holiday is a really popular movie at my local library – I’ll have to try it soon. 🙂

Oh, yes. It is such a great movie with a lot of good plots going on side by side! Jack Black was a total charmer in this one.
