Top Ten Tuesday is brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish, and this week’s Top Ten is about looking forward to the new year by picking the reads you are most anticipating. Luckily it’s just for the first half of the year. I’m not sure I could limit it to ten for the entire year!

Midtown Masters by Cara McKenna
Expected Publication: 2.21.17
I’m not quite sure what this is going to be about (aside from the fact that this is a series about threesomes,) but I know Cara McKenna wrote it. I’m looking forward to the sexiness that seeps from everything she writes. |

The Beast Is an Animal by Peternelle van Arsedale
Expected Publication: 3.7.17
What initially drew me to this book was the blurb, though the cover is stunning as well. For me, one of the creepiest parts of the Angelfall series was the transformation of Paige, Penryn’s sister. And this blurb has a Paige-after-she-was-transformed feel to it. I am so excited for this one! |

Rise of Fire by Sophie Jordan
Expected Publication: 2.7.17
I fell in love with this series earlier in the year when I read Reign of Shadows. It was a first for me – YA/Fantasy, an attempt to step out of my comfort zone that really paid off. It ended with one heck of a cliffhanger, and I have been anxiously awaiting its follow up! |

Hunted by Meagan Spooner
Expected Publication: 3.14.17
This book is, hands down, my most eagerly anticipated book of 2017. Hot damn! This cover is exquisite, and if I know I’m in for a Beauty & the Beast retelling, I’m already enthralled.

The Thing About Love by Julie James
Expected Publication: 4.18.17
Julie James has given me sophistication and confidence with every heroine she’s written, and she complements them with one hell of a sexy hero. I love her pairings, and I can’t wait for this one!

Off Base by Annabeth Albert
Expected Publication: 1.9.17
Sweet, awkward, and kind-hearted heroes have become staples in every book I pick up from this author. Her love stories are so tender; I just can’t resist them! And a Navy SEAL?!??! Yes, please.

On Broken Wings by Chanel Cleeton
Expected Publication: 1.3.17
Ack! Easy’s book! This is Easy’s book! My friend swears I need to go back and read the first book in this series to get to know Easy’s back story before I dive into his book, but I met him in book 2. I already love him! I need his book NOW! And…breathe!

Every Little Thing by Samantha Young
Expected Publication: 3.7.17
So, I wasn’t crazy about the first book in this series, but I loved the town and the people in it, especially Bailey and Vaughn. There is heat there that I am dying to read more of! I predict sparks.

White Hot by Ilona Andrews
Expected Publication: 5.30.17
The first book in this series, Burn for Me, was my very first Ilona Andrews, so it’s safe to say it holds a special place in my reader’s heart. I loved that book, and I have been waiting on pins and needles for this one. Not to wish the year away, but bring on May! 😉

Honey by Kristen Ashley
Expected Publication: 3.7.17
I’m thinking that even though this book is about an ‘alpha-sub,’ that this is Kristen Ashley’s attempt to step out of her comfort zone, and I am so interested to see what she does with this series!

And there they are – ten books from the first half of 2017 that I am anticipating. Are any of these books on your most anticipated list? And as I am always on the lookout to add to my to be read pile, is there something you think I missed?

Ooooh, I’m going to have to look into The Beast is an Animal! I liked that about Penrynn’s sister, too, so I’m really curious!

Yeah, Paige ended up being a real scene-stealer in that series. I’m looking forward for something that might have the same tone.

Haha. I will. I swear. I just have to come to terms with not going directly to Easy without passing go and collecting $200. 😉

Not to change the subject, but can you believe I forgot Etched in Bone? I cannot believe that. I nearly had palpitations when it popped up on Netgalley. LOL

Oh you really REALLY need to read book one of Chanels. It has such a impact on book three and Dani and Easy’s story. Not just meeting them but what makes their story possible.
Hunted looks amazing.

I will, for sure. I just want all Easy so bad! The end of Into the Blue gutted me. I want his story.
Yeah, Hunted looks like it’s going to be so good.
