“Waiting on” Wednesday | White Hot by Ilona Andrews

Breaking the Spine created this feature – ‘Waiting on’ Wednesday, where bloggers could gush about their most coveted upcoming release. Here’s mine:

Nevada Baylor has a unique and secret skill—she knows when people are lying—and she’s used that magic (along with plain, hard work) to keep her colorful and close-knit family’s detective agency afloat. But her new case pits her against the shadowy forces that almost destroyed the city of Houston once before, bringing Nevada back into contact with Connor “Mad” Rogan.

Rogan is a billionaire Prime—the highest rank of magic user—and as unreadable as ever, despite Nevada’s “talent.” But there’s no hiding the sparks between them. Now that the stakes are even higher, both professionally and personally, and their foes are unimaginably powerful, Rogan and Nevada will find that nothing burns like ice …

Publication date: May 30th

If you saw my Top 10 Most Anticipated books for the first half of 2017 yesterday, then this comes as no surprise. I adore this husband/wife writing duo. Burn for Me was the first book I read from them, chased by the Kate Daniels series earlier this year. I’ve loved every moment, and I cannot wait for more of Nevada and Mad Rogan! (I love that she uses his first and last name throughout the whole first book when she thinks of him.) Lots of squees surrounding the release of this book, let me tell you!

  1. I love their books, too. I have only read the Kate Daniels series, but I have the first book of this one and Clean Sweep to get around to.
