“Waiting on” Wednesday | All the Lies We Tell by Megan Hart

Breaking the Spine created this feature – “Waiting on” Wednesday, where bloggers could gush about their most coveted upcoming releases. Here’s mine:

Everyone knew Alicia Harrison’s marriage to Ilya Stern wouldn’t last. They’d grown up on a remote stretch of Quarry Street, where there were two houses, two sets of siblings, and eventually, a tangled mess of betrayal, longing, and loss. Tragedy catapulted Allie and Ilya together, but divorce—even as neighbors—has been relatively uncomplicated.

Then Ilya’s brother, Nikolai, comes home for their grandmother’s last days. He’s the guy who teased and fought with Allie, infuriated her, then fled town without a good-bye. Now Niko makes her feel something else entirely—a rush of connection and pure desire that she’s been trying to quench since one secret kiss years ago. Niko’s not sticking around. She’s not going to leave. And after all that’s happened between their families, this can’t be anything more than brief pleasure and a bad idea.

But the lies we tell ourselves can’t compete with the truths our hearts refuse to let go…

Publication date: May 1st

I look forward to every Megan Hart release because I feel like this author really stretches my limits. She’s written more than one book that’s changed my mind about a particular topic or trope. I can’t wait to see what she does with this one!

  1. I think that this is one of the possible Kindle First picks this month. I haven’t made my choice yet so I will have to really look hard at this one. I hope you enjoy it!

    1. Oh, yeah. She’s a can’t miss for me. I try to read everything she releases. I really need to take the time to dive into her back list! According to a lot of my Goodreads friends, I’m missing out on some spectacular reads.

    1. It has been so many years since I’ve read a Johanna Lindsey book. And I remember loving her. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Mallory series. I hope to fit it in someday. I hope you love it! 🙂
