Breaking the Spine created the feature “Waiting on” Wednesday, and Wishful Endings adopted it as Can’t-Wait Wednesday. It’s where bloggers are invited to gush about their most coveted upcoming releases.
Here’s mine:
BACK FROM THE DEAD, AN EARL SEEKS VENGEANCE…
Liam Devaliant, Lord Lockwood, was born into a charmed life. Charismatic, powerful, and wild, he had the world at his feet—and one woman as his aim. His wedding to Anna was meant to be his greatest triumph. Instead, in a single moment, a wicked conspiracy robbed him of his future and freedom.
…BUT WILL HIS LONG-LOST COUNTESS PAY THE PRICE?
Four years later, Liam has returned from death with plans for revenge. Standing in his way, though, is his long-absent bride. Once, he adored Anna’s courage. Now it seems like a curse, for Anna refuses to fear or forget him. If she can’t win back Liam’s love, then she means at least to save his soul…no matter the cost.

I read Meredith Duran for the first time last year with A Lady’s Code of Misconduct, and I fell in love with her writing, so of course I headed straight to Goodreads to add her next book to my to be read list. And then first line of the blurb…back from the dead? Fricken right I’m signing on for this one! As a fan of late 80’s/early 90’s soap operas, I can attest there is nothing so entertaining as a well-timed return from the dead. I’ll be jumping back into historical romance with this one!
That one does look pretty fun! I love that it’s the heroine who has to win back the hero’s love. That doesn’t happen as often in Historical.

The third in the Royal Replicas comes out on Friday and book 5 in The Girl Who Dared to Think series on the 31st. It’s gonna be a good book week for me. 🙂 This one definitely sounds saucy though! I might have to add it to the list!

Haha! You are so right about there being nothing like a well-timed return from the dead. No one does it like the soaps. This sounds like a lot of fun. I will have to give The Sins of Lord Lockwood a try. I hope you enjoy it!
