YOU GUYS! The latest Jock Hard book from Sara Ney is here, and if you know me at all, you know I am wild for this author! I’ve been with this series from the beginning, and I’ve loved every installment. This New Adult series is one of my favorites, and if you’re a fan of the genre and haven’t read it yet, I can’t imagine what you’re waiting for.
Jock Road by Sara Ney
Series: Jock Hard
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publication Date: September 5th, 2019
ARC from the author
EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.
Those are Jackson Jennings, Jr’s three mantras . His entire life, he’s been a trained athlete with only one end-game: the Pro’s. No girls. No parties. No alcohol.
EAT. SLEEP. FOOTBALL.
Repeat.
Every Friday night, Triple J cruises the strip on campus, bored, lonely and conditioned not to party. But the night he meets Charlotte Edmonds on the side of the road, he wonders if his three mantras will ever be enough.
BIG. DUMB. JOCK.
Charlie has no time for Jackson’s antics. Not when he’s stealing her food or teases her to no end, making her tingle in all the right places. But if she’s ever going to have a boyfriend, she’d choose one who isn’t a Neanderthal. One with manners and actual time to spend with her. Not a hulking man-child who cruises the strip at night, in his Big. Dumb. Truck.

Jock Road is the latest installment of Sara Ney’s Jock Hard series, and this series is a boatload of fun. While most New Adult has a serious slant to it, her books tend to veer more towards humor and good times, and I always love picking up the next book just knowing it’s going to bring a smile to my face.
Jackson and Charlie have one run in after another from food thieving to bright headlights (that’s not a euphemism,) to flat tires, and the most interesting thing about this book is that both of our main characters are a bit douchey when the story starts. But don’t worry; they get better. Charlie is quite the adventure taker what with hopping out of her car to confront a supposed stranger, and I couldn’t help but chastise her in my head even while I was giggling at the entire situation. Jackson loves to get her goat and is fighting an attraction he desperately does not want; football is his life, and he’s determined to keep that as his #1 focus. I really loved the progression of Charlie and Triple J’s relationship. (Just TRY getting Charlie to call him that.) They pretty much start out as enemies, graduate to friends, and then move on over to the lovers zone. But before they can get there, Charlie has to stop seeing Jackson as the big. Dumb. Jock. Which she eventually does; with his southern charm and sweet ways, Jackson could win anyone over. Sara Ney brings the steam, as always, and after all their banter and goading, I was more than ready for it!
Overall Jock Road gave us exactly what I was expecting; a sweet as pie hero with a fun love story. It was the perfect addition to the Jock Hard series.
Glad this series continues to bring you some great fun stories. I want to start it at some point.

I really need to read this series. I read a book from her Douchebag series and loved it. This sounds like something that I’d really enjoy.

As much as I love this series, I do love the Douchebags even more. And funnily enough, I’d written them off because the series title was such a turn off to me. I’m so glad I picked them up! I would have missed out on some terrific reads otherwise.
