Hear ye, hear ye! I do declare that I am taking part in the Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon this year, and I’m so excited! In looking back at posts from other bloggers and previous years, the thought process seemed to be the same: I don’t have time for this, but I can’t resist! And I feel the same. In all my years of blogging, I’ve never taken part in a Readathon. And I’ve really wanted to. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over this past year (it’s been a rough one,) it’s that THE TIME IS NOW! So here I am, and if you want to take part, just click here to be taken to the sign up post on Caffeinated Reviewer’s site. This Readathon goes from today, November 8th to November 17th. My hope is to finish a book almost every single day during the Readathon, but full disclosure – most of my books are short ones. Enough from me here – suffice it to say, I am so excited to get into the holiday spirit, and books is just the way to usher in the holiday season!
Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon TBR
You’ll notice that my TBR is pretty Debbie Macomber heavy. I read my first Debbie Macomber (in years) recently, and it was a Christmas story that I really loved. So I want to read as many of hers as I can. She really captures the traditional holiday spirit in her books, which I love!
Oh fun! I’m doing it, too, Angie.
I enjoyed Merry and Bright as my first Debbie Macomber and I’ve got The Ghost of Christmas Past on my #hohohorat list, too. 🙂
Go get ’em, Angie!

Hallo, Hallo –
I shared my #HoHoHoRAT TBR tonight – this is the second blogger whose focusing on Debbie Macomber novels – I was curious if you’ve read any of her Christmas stories outside of her Angel series – which do you think I should start reading? I noticed my libraries have quite a few in their OverDrive collection – I am skipping over Mrs Miracle too as I watched those via Hallmark Channel.
I used to read a heap of Macomber’s novels — then, I sort of drifted away from them. Sounds like you did too?
I hope we’ll each find quite a few lovelies to talk about after the readathon concludes!

I think I read some of her books years ago, but even if I picked one of those up now, it would be like a brand new book for me.
Yes, she is a great Christmas go to because her back list is so large! So far this year I’ve read The Twelve Days of Christmas (which was OK,) but I just finished Starry Night and really really enjoyed it. Now I’m reading Merry & Bright, and I LOVE it so far! I’m pretty sure I’ll be finishing it tonight. I have Mr. Miracle on my TBR and plan on watching the movie after.
Happy reading! 🙂

Ooh boy!! You’ve given me some great suggestions — hmm, before I forget, I’ll just pull up my library’s OverDrive and see if any of these lovelies are avail or if I need to go on hold for them,…
I had to go on hold for Starry Night but thankfully I was able to borrow Merry & Bright! Thanks for the suggestions and it is so good to hear that you are enjoying these stories. I admit, I tried to watch the adaptation for Mr Miracle (via Hallmark) but I preferred Mrs Miracle’s adaptations better… maybe the original story is a better representation?
I feel the same way – by the time I get back to Cedar Cove & Blossom Street I will be discovering those series anew! How lovely to talk to you and thanks for helping me pick out some of her stories to hear this holiday season!

Ohh, your book choices look so appealing. I read few Debbie Macomber books and liked them. I have my eyes on Dashing through the snow for a while now, so I’m looking forward to see your review (if you decide to write it).
Good luck with the readathon and I hope you’ll read as many books as you can!

Thank you, Irena! Good luck to you, as well!
If I do get a chance to read it, I will definitely review it. Sadly, someone has it checked out from my library right now. But if I don’t read it now, I’ll be reading it later! 🙂
